Jeff Barcy is Managing Director at Salem Partners LLC, which is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. Salem Partners (founded in 1997) is an investment bank and wealth managementfirm. Mr. Barcy’s present concentration is on private capital raising for leading real estate operators in the U.S. His expertise is in real estate investment banking, raising private capital, as well as locating attractive real estate investment opportunities.

He has over twenty years on Wall Street and in real estate private equity. This includes thirteen years at Credit Suisse and 3 years at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. Jeff Barcy commenced his Salem Partners LLC career in April of 2014. Pertaining to raising the aforementioned private capital, this includes joint venture equity and private debt placements sourced from the Salem Partners team’s deep relationships with institutional investors. Included in this are private equity funds, insurance companies, hedge funds, family offices, as well as pension funds.

With his substantial Wall Street experience, Jeff Barcy has raised more than $20 billion in capital for private real estate companies, real estate investment trusts (REITs), homebuilders and developers through a blend of CMBS deals, senior & subordinated notes, follow-on offerings, loans, IPOs (Initial Public Offerings), and private placements.

Jeff Barcy is an MBA (Master of Business Administration) graduate from Harvard Business School (1994-1996). He has his B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) with High Honors, English and American Literature (1987-1991) from Harvard University. At Harvard he was a member of the Varsity Wrestling Team competing at the NCAA level.
