Full Body Workouts Vs Split Routine Workouts

The full body workout is a great workout for beginners and body builders alike. In using this plan you gain much faster results, but work very hard.Your potential to burn a lot of calories is a lot better with this kind workout over a split routine.

With a full body exercise, you don’t have to spend as much time in the gym. In using a split routine you will have to spend at least four days a week at the gym, possibly more. With using the full body workout, you work your whole body in one session. What does this mean for you? It means you only have to be in the gym 2 maybe 3 times a week, for about an hour each session. This makes it a lot simpler to get workout days to fit with your schedule.

Maximal contractions with heavy weight is what your trying to achieve with a good full body workout. Essentially your goal is to have more weights with less reps. To gain lean muscle, you would want to do multiple reps with less weight. If you want to gain mass, you do more weight with around 8 to 12 reps maximum. Even though you need to lift with heavy weights, make sure not to over do it lifting more weight than you can handle.

You must also give yourself a lot of time to rest to fully recover. You need to perform only one exercise per muscle group. You should also keep mixing up you workouts, not starting with the same exercise first every time.

Your cardiovascular training will greatly improve as well. With using this workout, you will only work 2 to 4 sets per body part. What this means is you will keep your heart rate up, causing you to burn more calories than you would with a split routine. It also gives you time to add cardio sessions in between the days you are not hitting the weights. So you are getting cardio training from your full body exercises, and you get to add cardio days between weight training.

The last thing you need to do is have a good recovery shake at the end of every workout. You need a lot of protein for your body to be able to repair the torn muscles from your workouts. Now it’s your turn. Go and put together your own full body workout. Be safe and have fun.
