Exactly how much to consume in order to drop some weight?

I’m writing an article to answer the question, “the amount of calories should I consume every day to shed weight?”

This is an extremely common question, which is not surprising as modern health authorities are continuously saying that people eat way too many calories each day and should reduce.

I have several problems with this approach, mainly since I do not believe that calorie counting is essential. Weight problems has raised despite the fact that almost everyone owns a calculator and can do math.

It’s true that calories matter, but in my opinion this is something typical people should not worry about.

For the time being, let’s assume that the “calories in, calories out” theory works and that you might simply lose weight by just stopping eating your favorite foods (fast foods, for example).

What this theory states is that individuals are fat since on a typical day, they eat a lot more than they burn. The calorie content of those extra food are then turned by the body into fat, giving our body extra weight and will later result in weight problems.

TIP! Make exercise a priority as you are dieting, but keep it fun. There have been numerous studies that show weight loss and exercise are connected.

If you wish to lose 30 pounds by using this method, and you want to decrease a minimum of 500 calories per day, you would need to weigh in each and every food you eat and know its calorie content for 7 months.

Furthermore, let’s imagine that you can do all of these (due to strong willpower), leaving yourself hungry and depraved of energy. Do you think you will be good to go after that?

You are going to have to continue this, as or else you are going to gain that weight back.

 

Plus there are several problems with calorie counting.:

The body’s metabolism depends on many factors: weight, genetics, age, sex, height along with other factors.

Restricting your calorie consumption will affect your metabolic rate, with its rate changing high and low.

The brain regulates body fat levels, and it’ll raise your hunger and reduce your activity levels to try and withstand any changes.

Also, weighing food will take a toll on your everyday life. You will not be able to eat out at restaurants or other peoples houses, and it’s just downright annoying and unsustainable.

TIP! Sweet snacks can be replaced with things like fruit. If you have a habit of eating chocolate bars, candy and bags of sweetened chips between meals, replace these snacks with your favorite fruits and not only will you start to lose weight.

This theory is just hard. We cannot expect people to weigh and count every single piece of food they eat for the rest of their lives, that is really what is required to lose weight this way.

I also happen to think that the human race is something more than only a large group of gluttons who are unable to control themselves.

I am going to discuss a particular hormone in your body that you have most likely heard of before. This hormone is known as Insulin.

As you might know, Insulin is used for regulating one’s blood sugar levels, preventing people from being a diabetic.

Not just does it prevent diabetes, but additionally, it works as a guard to your fat cells.

When insulin levels are raised, the body’s fat cells are told to store fat and to ensure that whatever amount of fat already in them does not get out.

TIP! Weight loss is a goal that many have a hard time reaching. Measure more than your overall weight; measure your legs, arms and waist to have a clear idea of how you are doing.

If levels of insulin are high despite the fact that you are eating less calories than you burn, then your body fat will have a true difficult time getting away from your fat cells.

This can then make alert your body, and your brain also, that it is deprived of energy. The result: feeling hungry.

The best option to this is to select the foods that do not contain too much content of something that impacts insulin release.

One such example of that content is the macronutrient “carbohydrate”. A single drop of carbohydrate significantly reduces insulin levels.

By doing this, many of the fat stored inside the body are burned and the feeling of hunger goes away. This is proven by researchers and experts.

Hunger for food will then dissipate, and the body will instead use the extra fat as energy for the entire body.

Remember, weight loss is not really affected by calories, but instead, the kind of foods that we eat and foods which encourage weight loss.

Thus, the question should not be how many calories to lose weight?.

The correct question would be: how many carbs every day to slim down naturally?
