For the whole of the summer of 2010 Waspgo.co.uk will be removing wasps nests throughout Lancashire, Manchester, Trafford and Cheshire for a fixed fee of thirty-two pounds (£44.50 for postcodes (CH, CW & L).
Waspgo.co.uk work seven days per week including evenings and weekends and do not charge any supplement for evening and weekend wasp nest work.
Wasps nests can normally be dealt with from the outside of the premises by blowing a small amount of insecticide into the opening using a special applicator.
It is necessary to have a wasps’ nest destroyed before mid-september when the new queens which will build next year’s nests start to emerge from the nest. Once this happens simply destoying the nest will not deal with these wasp queens as they are no longer returning to the nest. A single nest can release as many as 2000 queens.
For the whole of the summer months we give priority to wasp calls as we know that many people suffer badly from wasps stings and it is important to destroy the nest as soon as it is discovered. We do our utmost to provide a same day service but this is clearly governed by how busy we are.
It is not usual to remove the wasp nest itself as it can’t be used again and, being made purely of a paper like material will crumble away by itself.
