Tony Horton’s Exercise Schedule is comprised of three special routines. You select where you wish to begin established on the results of your fit test and then all you do is just push play. The 3 options are separated into Classic, Lean, and Doubles. We will do a breakdown of each P90X program below.

Classic:
This is where a lot of people seem to start. The Classic is fairly structured and offers the best variety if you want to get big and lose weight as they get going.

The classic require approximately 1 hour and a half on any given day. The tedious workout of the total routine is named Yoga X.

Personally, I chose to do classic in my initial session of the P90X Workout and seemed to get really good results by staying with the program. The diet was not strict and I didn’t follow the P90X eating plan. But, I did eat clean, i.e. no pop, chocolate, ice cream, steaks, sugars, etc.. I did still eat correct sugar level but watched it carefully. I almost only used it in my tea.

The Classic P90X workout does have you work out 6 days every week just as Lean and Doubles. P90X stress a variety of aerobic and resistance workouts, around half each.

The Classic program is just right for those ready to start from ground 0.

Let’s go over the Lean program.

Lean:
The Lean workout does make you focus on Cardio a lot more than resistance. This is a good position to start for people that wish to focus on weight loss to start and then maybe get into adding muscle later. With the lean schedule you’ll be working a lot more cardio, which will obviously burn more calories and help you lose weight a ton quicker.

I haven’t usedthe lean alternative but I imagine it to be ideal if you want to get in shape. Particularly if you did not think you were quite ready to jump into Classic. You’ll have to put aside approximately one hour and a half in any one day for your Lean routine.

What is interesting is at phase three of the P90X you actually do workouts similar to Phase 1 of the Classic. Having said that you can see how Lean can be a lead into Classic to. After that the Classic evolves into what we’ll at next.

Doubles:
This is the ultimate P90X schedule and for those that are in great shape or have completed Classic but prepared for more punishment. You will value the reason why in a moment. Now with Doubles you’ll require great deal more time and loyalty to the program, you will have to set aside up to two hours and twenty minutes on some workout days. In most cases you’ll wake up and do the cardio workout, then a while later or after dinner you will do resistance plus Abs.

The main difference between Classic and Doubles is the extra cardio.

Each programs will help with near permanent fat loss.
