This process is the fastest available; in most cases, taxpayers can begin to receive their refund in as little as 8-10 days. If you choose to have your refund direct deposited or if you would rather have your refund made via paper check, you still could have your refund within a couple weeks. Isn’t that amazing? It’s much faster than mailing in your returns and hoping they made it to the IRS and then wondering how long it will take to have them processed.
Once you have e-filed your return, the IRS has a link available to check the status of your return within 72 hours of being filed.
