International Middle Schools – Get a head start
The United States is home to a number of of the greatest colleges and universities anywhere. Kids from all over the world strive in their early academic careers to prepare for admission to universities in the US. A great many tactics may well be involved, but this write-up is going to show a few of the advantages of attending an International Middle School in the US.
Together with good grades, university admissions departments also take note of something they call demonstrated interest. This isn’t the type of interest that says, “I would like to go to your college simply because I’ve read it is reputable.” It doesn’t say, “I want YOU to give ME admission to your university simply because I barely meet your requirements.” What it does say is, “Your College is definitely the only fit for me because, I share your core beliefs and would like to offer so and so.” It says, I’ve read the works of Professor Henderson, and I must work with him and his dept to more deeply cultivate the principle of so and so.” It demonstrates an intimate familiarity with the school and the key reason why you wish to attend.
This demonstrated interest is communicated through your essay, and this kind of an essay can’t just be tossed together in your senior year of high school.
Attending an International Middle School in the United States can provide the opportunity to explore universities and understand more about them personally. You can learn from your instructors the right way to begin the process of arranging your secondary school years in order to focus on a few top universities. This is also an obviously better time for you to find out that you might dislike some particular reality of a school, or that as wonderful as its reputation is, you just do not like the size or atmosphere or town, or so on.
College admissions are actually so competitive that even the California State University system turned away over 10,000 qualified applicants in the fall of 2009. Do not wait until it is too late. Find a school that can issue an i-20 visa and bring you here to study before getting to high school–even if it is just for a semester or two.
