I am unable to Stop
You’ve tried anything but that “thing” you’re hooked to….. and it doesn’t really matter what it is, yes I said,” it does not matter what it is!”
The habit is that which you “do”, it is not the situation!
Anyway, it really won’t disappear completely. So that you begin looking for external things to solve the situation. I mean things like smoking patches, self help books, action programs or articles like this one.
Now don’t misunderstand me these specific things can all be helpful. They prepare you for the “final revelation” which can help rid you forever of your habit.
You do handles your self. “If I do not have (place your individual dependency here) today, then I will manage to have one tomorrow” or “I am useless because I can not manage this.” “I feel therefore bad today I want my little helper.” Probably, your inner voice tells you no-one understands how difficult it is, or you are just more sensitive than others, or it makes you fascinating, or my friends wouldn’t like me every other way or or or….
We could run in these communities for years, sharing addiction for addiction. Blaming everybody for our problems. “I was an child” “My father was an alcoholic” “I have difficulties with commitment.” Sound familiar? Now please, don’t get me wrong. Being the little one of an alcoholic isn’t any small thing! I am not belittling it, in the same way I would not imagine belittling whatever somebody believed was the explanation for there habit.
But, and here is the problem. If you “believe” anything external caused you to set off traveling to oblivion, then you are going to need an equally effective external device to create you change that path. Well, it’s not going to happen! There is nothing external for you that may alter your course. Sorry, but thats the facts.
You may justify, rest, blame the others and spend a lot of money on self-help guru’s, until you realise one simple fact and that is this.
The key to preventing your habit would be to Stop. Yes Stop! and the point is you’ll maybe not until you realise the solution to your difficulty lies inside you.
Concern is stopping you contacting the element of you that can help. Whatever it is you do to allay that anxiety, “your addiction,” stops you hearing that intelligent element of you.
The secret is to discover worries for what it’s.
Understand it is standing in the way of you hearing your inner voice.
You have been deceived into thinking that the fear is as deep as you can get. Driving a car is low. Make the decision to Stop, Stick to it and proceed. if you feel you need to when the thing you’re doing “your addiction” isn’t any longer ruling you then you have a chance to work-out how you got into this mess, That is? Probably just getting on along with your life is an choice too?
Remember! The answer to the question is you! The secret of stopping, would be to stop!
