Healthy Living By Road Bicycling

I am looking for a way to be inshape, but I am sick of the gym. The workout machines, the free weights, the ab mats, the scents, everything just makes me feel blah. The hard thing is I know I have to do some type of activity to be inshape. While healthy eating helps, I still need to workout in some way, shape or form. It would be nice for that activity to occur in a locale other than a gym or infront of a television. That’s when a good buddy of mine told me about road bikes. Embarrassingly, I initially thought he was talking about motorcycles. I mean, I never heard the assorted divisions of road bicycles. Then he informed me of what he intended…Tour de France class of bicycles. Keep in the back of your head, that up to this point the sole bicycles I have ever possessed have been a Huffy and a mountain bicycle that I think was a Raleigh. He chose to let me test drive an older road bicycle and I fell in love! No, not with him or the bicycle, rather with road biking. The fresh air, the terrain, the variation of mountains and straight-aways. Periods of enjoying the breeze blowing against my face and then occasionally desiring for one dragging me up a hill. It was a welcomed distraction and demanding. I was in control and it was a great experience. I made up my mind how long to ride and where to explore. No gym trainer telling me what to do or some gym-goer waiting to see when I am complete with my set. It was serene and crazy at the same moment. I felt my whole body operating like a instrument and I knew that the next day would cause some pain, but it was so worth it! That is when I made a decision that it was time for me to take next step and reward myself with a discount road bike.

Once I felt that I would purchase a road bike, I had do some legwork. Legwork is always a great thought when you are going to put down some big bucks. There are a wide array of types out in the world and I want to make sure I choose the brand best for me.Realizing that I am a novice, I have to budget myself. Felt has a large selection of road bikes. Riding a cheap Felt bikes would be good for my wallet and for my peace of mind. Nothing like a high calibur bike at a sticker cost I can sustain.

Now that it is all assessed, accumulating all the other do-dads should be a snap! I can ultimately have a good time while working out and my surroundings are never-ending.
