Depression – How Procrastination Can make it Worse

Now, in the “old days,” before I was in recovery, I’d have done precisely what I wanted to with that income. Probably blown it on stuff I did not need. I was only thinking about instant gratification. I’d take care of the consequences later.

And do not feel it did not cross my thoughts this time, too. It absolutely did.

But, I had responsibilities. A few people today I owed income to, and some bills that were way overdue. So, you know what I did?

I paid what I owed and took care of my responsibilities.

I have to say, whilst I did not get to invest the income on something that would make me really feel excellent, or deliver a very good time, I really feel good. I’m acutely aware of the absence in the guilt and regret that commonly follow when I place Find Your Focus something off that I need to do.

I understand now that I did not employed to procrastinate mainly because I was depressed, I was depressed, in portion, mainly because procrastinated. This goes for something, from carrying out the dishes to paying my sister back.
