This is one of the big problems that people have when they try and invest in their online business. They just don’t know to pull the plug on certain activities.
Don’t get me wrong, perseverance is one of the most important qualities a person can have when it comes to making money online. If I wasn’t able to persevere through so much, I wouldn’t be here writing this article. I would be in an office someone selling insurance or something, I’ll take running my own business.
The important thing is that there is a difference between perseverance and being stubborn or being ignorant. You’re going to have failures online. Whether it is an info product flop, a bad pay-per click campaign, a website that doesn’t get any traffic etc. and maybe several of them.
We don’t have the midas touch, not everything that we touch turns to gold. I don’t care what guru you talk to, if they are honest, they will admit to you that they have their fair share of bombs, in their online experience.
It’s going to happen. I’ve run hundreds and hundreds of pay-per click campaigns. I’ve had some where I’ve lost some money and some where I’ve been very profitable.
The point being you dump the dogs and milk the winners. What I mean by milking the winners is to continue to improve the profits. Unless you love the activity, it is about making the most money that you can with the least amount of work. There are a few things that I put more time into than the profits heed, but I love it, so I’ll keep doing certain things.
The point of the whole thing is testing. I know that you have probably been told this many times before. What’s not important is how many times you’ve been told it, what is important is that you’re doing something about it.
The whole key to making money online is to test. Test to see which niches are most profitable to you, test to see the most profitable ways to market in each niche etc. It’s as plain and simple as that, don’t try and over-complicate things. If you’re struggling, go back to the basics of testing and improving. A good way to drive traffic to your site is doing article marketing. With article marketing you submit articles to a free article directory to get traffic. You dont need much money to get started – just download one of the free wp themes available on the internet. Get a cheap host set up your blog and start writing articles and the traffic will follow!
