This year the Phillips 66 Big 12 men’s basketball championship will be played in Kansas City, Missouri at the Sprint Center. This will mark the fourth time that the conference tournament will be played at this particular venue. The top six teams from the regular season will receive a 1st round bye, meaning they will automatically advance to the 2nd round. This is the first year that six byes will be given because this is the first time that the Big 12 tournament will be played with only 10 teams.
