Managing Tasks For Granny
Next month we see my nanna. I enjoy visiting her, even if she has become a little stubborn in her later years. I will not embarrass her by sharing her age, but let’s simply suppose she is a woman with thoroughly seasoned wisdom.
I know her daughter just brought by a litter of baby kittens for amusement. Of course, her daughter (my aunt) had to tolerate an extensive lesson on caring for young kittens. I am sure my granny would have liked to retain one or two of the baby kitties, but they’re simply too much for her to manage at this point.
I constantly see something enigmatic at her house when I visit. Last time, I observed several books on penny stocks on her coffee table. My nanna buying penny stocks? That is bizarre. I wonder what I will discover on her coffee table this month.
This year will make for a busy sojourn. I must put in her new Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then fix her garden cart. I additionally have to take her old pots and pans to charity as she recently bought a fresh collection of pots and pans to replace them. As a reward, she claims to also have bought one of the best ice cream makers and the very best of all the electic coffee makers. I’m thankful, but I also must laugh softly as she invariably claims to have or use only the very best of this or that.
If all proceeds well, she will use both to serve me some sweet coffee in the morning and ice cream in the afternoon. This sounds like more than reward enough for my effort. I am happy to help her out for nothing, but a little robust java and creamy ice cream doesn’t hurt.
