When my spouse and i take a trip we only plan as far as the plane tickets and where we will reside the first day we get there. We believe it makes for a far more enjoyable adventure because you can go where you wish to go; you’re not locked into one place. It will nevertheless backfire when you’re having such a great time, we were in Naples, Florida, that you neglect to reserve your room for that night, and everything’s reserved since there is some huge boat exhibit going on. Fortunately we did have a fairly spacious rental car so we slept in that, though I don’t know if you would say that was fortunate or not, but at least we had the car.
After a pretty sleepless night, I was positive we were going to get murdered, we pulled out the smartphone and began trying to find any vacation rental that was available and we found one in Key Largo. It took us about three hours to get there but I believed that was more than worth the effort to not have to sleep in a car yet again. I didn’t really know what to expect of Key Largo. I think I thought it might be like a retirement area, but I was happily surprised when we got there. It’s so beautiful and the people are extremely nice.
The Key Largo rental that we stayed in was privately operated and it was part of a small neighborhood of other Key Largo bungalows on the ocean. I would personally have been content with merely a clean bed, but it had everything. There was an excellent pool that we took advantage of immediately with a couple much needed drinks. The staff was super friendly and genuine. They suggested some terrific restaurants and I loved the entire casual feel of the place. I believe that’s what I loved so much about Key Largo was the atmosphere. No one seemed stressed or in a hurry and everyone I met had a smile on their face, a real one as well not a forced one.
We were initially only intending to stay in Key Largo for one day, however the Key Largo rental bungalow that we were in was so nice and they had this lovely little sitting area around the water so we decided to stay an extra day and we barbequed shrimp, sipped margaritas and looked out over the sea.
We have plans to return but this time we are absolutely going to make vacation rental arrangements before hand to avoid sleeping in the car once again, nonetheless it made for an amusing story to our family and friends therefore it was sort of worth the back ache.
