The far infrared sauna is quite different from the ordinary sauna in which the simple method of heating through the steam is used for sweating the human body. In an ordinary saunas the steam heats the air first which is then absorbed in our skin to produce sweat; where as in a far infrared sauna the rays heat up only the 20% of the air and the rest of the 80% heat directly penetrates our skin to a certain depth to bring the optimal results.

It is a very safe therapy it has numerous benefits and no side effects and is not even a big load on your pocket. Usually it is advised to most of the people that they should have a 20 minutes session if they are beginners and should exceed to 30-60 minutes; although some people can even have sessions till 2 hrs. The number of sessions which should or can be taken by the people is not fixed, but as these infrared saunas are not harmful for a normal person so it can be taken on a daily basis as well.

An infrared sauna session is very effective therapy for almost everybody but some people who have serious heart or lungs diseases or have any skin allergies should either avoid them or should have them under a constant supervision or according to any specialist’s consultancy. There certain sensitive aspects that have to correctly and cautiously examined, such as the pulse rate should not exceed 50 % and there should not be excessive sweating so that it may cause dehydration; skin rashes or infections may occur so immediate treatment should be taken according to the specialist’s advice. Therefore it is recommended that beginners must not have infrared sauna sessions alone.
The infrared sauna is also not really recommended for ladies who pregnant and for children below the age of five years. It is not because of the reason that infrared sauna is harmful but it is good to be cautious during any sensitive period or age.

It is advised that you should be accompanied or supervised by somebody during the session especially if you are a patient or suffering through some disability or sickness. This is for the purpose of both safety and personal satisfaction.
Some of the promoters also state that a half n hour session of infrared corner sauna would burn calories equal to a half an hour jogging or rowing exercise. And this offer may be very striking for those who are either not interested in exercises or are unfortunately unable to do so, due to any physical disability or illness. So in such cases infrared sauna proves to be a great offer and relief, which may strike several targets in one strike.
