His new washer and dryer are front loading and are energy efficient using less electricity than ever before. The new front loading washer and dryer also sit on top of bases that offer storage drawers for things like laundry soap and fabric softener. He also bought a new central vacuum cleaner and installed it himself in his basement. The house has three floors and it is impossible to vacuum a house with three floors with a canister vacuum, it just makes it too difficult to carry a vacuum cleaner up flights of stairs. He also bought a new fridge and self cleaning oven that has both a standard oven and a convection oven combination. The new fridge has a small water line that hooks up to the back of the fridge, and makes ice by pushing on a button and filters water when you place your glass under the spout for fresh tasting filtered water and ice.
You can buy new appliances these days, and not have to pay for them in some cases one or two years from the date you purchased them. Some stores offer payments that you can defer for a while and all you have to pay are the taxes up front. This type of payment option is great for someone who just bought a new house and needs to preserve their cash for things like paint and upgrades to a house like new flooring for example. When my wife and I bought our first house we didn’t pay a cent on our appliances for two years. Is was very helpful in conserving money for other things and also prevented us from taking out a loan.
